To Accept Your Limits You First Have To Know Them

There’s an age old question that goes something like this.

What’s more important, self improvement or self acceptance? — The idea is that one must supersede the other somehow.

Should you go all out on improving yourself becoming a somebody or are you content as you are, plodding along just getting through life?

Taken to both extremes they’re not healthy, either of them. But knowing where your limits are takes a certain kind of dissatisfaction.

Isn’t it far better to actually see what you are capable of then to resign to life’s ebbing and flowing?

A good hybrid is to never settle for less than you are fully capable of and to spend your life findng what those capabilites are.

If you can’t improve, you accept. If you can then you expand.

This is what some call skillful living. What do you think?
