If you’re trying to shift weight, and/or start a new life, often people will tell you the Keto/Carnivore style diets are game changers.
But are they?
I did Keto for 2 months this year and here’s my take.
Pros — I lost weight quickly. Within two weeks I was looking lean and my face and lower back quickly lost their fat deposits. I slept well and felt energised and in control. I had zero brain fog and the taste buds I’d wrecked with sugar returned.
Cons-I felt weaker and had much less power in the gym. Runs were harder. I got very constipated and my cholesterol levels went up. I got obsessed with food and what I could and couldn’t eat. It bordered on OCD levels. Eating out was painful. Life was limited.
Would I do it again?
Probably not.
