Always ask for an upgrade

Shame will get you nowhere.

My flight was late and I wanted an upgrade. I didn’t get one. Fair enough, but I asked. I always ask. One day, right place right time it may go my way. It’s happened before and it’ll happen again.

The moral of the story is this. If you want things from life you have to ask. Asking risks a no and a no feels like rejection, rejection can feel worse than death.

So to avoid this feeling we stay safe, we don’t ask and we don’t get. Some of us anyway..my old self included.
